Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Digital and AI parsing?
Digital parsing extracts text directly from PDFs that were generated electronically
(e.g. downloaded from your bank's website). AI parsing uses optical character
recognition (OCR) to read scanned documents or photos of statements.
Why does AI parsing have a monthly quota?
AI parsing sends each page to Azure Document Intelligence for OCR processing.
Microsoft charges per page analysed. Each account includes 100 pages per month.
If you need more, contact an administrator to increase your quota or receive
bonus pages for a particular month.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Uploaded files are processed in memory and never written to disk.
Filenames and statement content are never stored in logs — only anonymous
usage metrics (page count, transaction count, cost) are recorded.
Which banks are supported?
Digital parsing currently supports ANZ Plus, Commonwealth Bank and American Express.
AI parsing can attempt any bank — the extracted text is matched against
templates where possible, with support for more banks coming soon.
